Jacob's grandfather had always told him stories about his life on the exotic island, and his childhood in the house. He had lived in Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children. Jacob had been shown pictures of the children: a levitating girl, siblings that could lift boulders, an invisible boy, and many other strange children. When his grandfather was suddenly murdered, Jacob found himself searching through the island and the actual house. Jacob begins to unfold dark secrets from the house. Jacob starts to learn more about his grandfather... And himself.
Here's three of my opinions about "Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children":
1.) The book was very creative and well written, but not too far fetched and boring.
2.) The author did a great job of foreshadowing important events. It made me feel like a detective!
3.) Even though Jacob's grandfather was murdered, the book wasn't depressing or sad.
You would love this book if you like the Harry Potter series. "Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children" would appeal to middle schoolers, high schoolers, and even adults! I would easily give this book five stars, and I highly recommend it for any tween!
Keep your nose stuck in a book!
